In like a lion out like a lamb?
We're not sure that the old adage that March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb applies to Charlotte's unseasonably chilly weather the past few days. But it was the perfect excuse to cuddle James Robert up in his very special knit swaddle. He spent hours nestled in the beautifully handmade gift- special thanks to Aunt Kathy.

Your Birth Story
We went to the hospital on the evening of March 2nd crossing our fingers that it was time for you to arrive. With consistent contractions, but little progression, we were sent home to wait. It was a long couple of hours before your Dad decided that I was in too much pain and we needed to head back to the hospital.
It was 3am on March 3rd when they gave us the ticket to stay and we were overjoyed that we would meet you that day!
We went through 3 nurse shifts and 2 doctor shifts while we tried to patiently wait for you to arrive.
And after about 27 hours of laboring, the doctor let us know that you were too big to be delivered without a c-section. I was so tired, but SO happy that I would soon meet you for the first time. It was surreal to hold you after so long and instantly we fell in love.
You surprised us with a full head of dark hair and weighing in at 8 lbs and 14 oz!!
Your Grandpa and Gram Gerber came to visit around 2am as soon as we left the recovery room.
And your Nana and Grandpa Leanderson arrived in Charlotte the next day.
You and your Dad had an instant bond.
We brought you home a few days later and were overjoyed to have both sets of your Grandparents there to adore you.
Our lives were instantly changed for the better the moment you came into the world. An incredible love that we didn't know existed filled our hearts. You are a blessing that brings us immense gratitude for God's grace. We can't wait to fill your life full of love and incredible memories.
